Sulfuric Acid , Gypsum |
---|
Sulfuric acid is produced at the acid plant. It is produced from
sulfur trioxide that is catalytic converted from sulfur dioxide in the S furnace and P.S. converters' off-gas. Sulfur dioxide in the reverberatory furnaces' off-gas is converted to gypsum by effective lime scrubbing at the gypsum plant. Furthermore, processed water is sent to the wastewater treatment section to remove trace metals and adjust the pH. |
